Voice Chat Setup
Follow this guide to install TeamSpeak, connect to the Ragnarök voice server, and set up the SaltyChat plugin for proximity voice chat on the RedM server.
SaltyChat is a TeamSpeak plugin that connects your in-game character to a voice channel, enabling realistic proximity voice chat on the RedM server. The closer another player's character is to yours, the louder they sound — and vice versa. It also supports radio and phone calls through in-game items.
To use it you need three things: TeamSpeak 3, a connection to our voice server, and the SaltyChat plugin installed.
SaltyChat requires TeamSpeak 3 (not TS5). Download the latest TS3 client from the official website.
Download TeamSpeak 3 →Run the installer and open TeamSpeak 3 before moving to the next step.
In TeamSpeak 3, click Connections → Connect (or press Ctrl+S).
Enter the server address below and click Connect:
ℹ Note
Once connected, move yourself into the RedM Lobby channel and wait — SaltyChat will move you automatically when you join the server in-game.
Download the latest SaltyChat plugin release from the official GitHub repository.
SaltyChat Releases on GitHub →Download the .ts3_plugin file from the latest release assets.
✓ Tip
.ts3_plugin file will automatically open the TeamSpeak Plugin Installer. Make sure TeamSpeak 3 is already open when you do this.In the installer prompt click Install, then restart TeamSpeak 3 when prompted.
After restarting, go to Tools → Options → Plugins in TeamSpeak 3.
Find SaltyChat in the list and make sure the checkbox next to it is enabled.
⚠ Warning
With TeamSpeak 3 open and connected to the Ragnarök voice server, launch RedM and connect to the server normally.
Once you're in-game, SaltyChat will automatically move your TeamSpeak client into the correct channel. You should see a SaltyChat Connected notification in the bottom-right of your screen.
✓ Tip
Walk up to other players in-game — you'll hear them automatically through TeamSpeak based on proximity. No push-to-talk needed for normal voice; radio and phone items have their own keybinds configured server-side.
